Category Buyer G&A (Wieze)

This position has responsibility for the overall sourcing leadership and commodity management for the Indirect Spend categories such as: Marketing, IT, Telecom, Car Fleet, Consulting and other NPR categories, with the purpose of delivering value in purchased goods and services to support key business initiatives, by:

  • managing RFx's and other sourcing initiatives to facilitate the procurement process,
  • ensuring continuous, reliable supply of goods and services,
  • contributing to the organization's financial results by cost savings.


Job Description

  • Analyze historical spend data and budget and define category strategy
  • Drive continuous improvements (cost and service) of assigned sourcing categories where appropriate
  • Partner with internal customers to identify and understand current and future business needs. Define sourcing strategies and initiatives that will support them.
  • Understand market forces and best practices
  • Research and evaluate suppliers
  • Develop RFx`s, evaluate, analyze and assess results, document recommendations and communicate results to internal clients
  • Define particular terms and conditions, negotiate contracts
  • Manage and implement contracts
  • Monitor and report results in spend reduction
  • Support supplier relationship management
  • Apply the purchasing process flows in line with the category strategy
  • Ensure compliance to procurement policy




  • University/Master Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or similar (required)
  • Purchasing certificate (preferred)


  • 2-5 years of Indirect Sourcing experience
  • Experience working independently, taking responsibility for procurement strategy across all levels of assigned organization
  • Experience leading high-value contract negotiations

Knowledge or specific business understanding

  • Thorough understanding of purchasing methodology
  • Specific commodity knowledge of assigned categories
  • SAP, Excel, Power Point
  • Basic project management knowledge
  • Negotiation, presentation and analytical skills
