Telesales Representative

Purpose Statement

Core objective of this role is to support the Divisional/Telesales Manager/s in achieving the goals and objectives of the Division/s they represent by contacting customers through remote channels, mainly telephone.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility of a defined territory with an assigned pool of Boston Scientific customers, including existing and potential accounts. Deliver remote channel contacts with the focus on identifying business opportunties and to enhance sales results;
• Proactively contacting the assigned customers on a regular basis, mainly by phone, to promote selected products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets, as agreed with the Manager;
• Use the sales process, available systems and tools to plan, prepare and drive engagement with the customers, get commitment to buy, negotiate and close successful deals;
• When appropriate and requested, collaborate remotely with field territory managers, to support the management of existing or potential customers;
• Provide advice and support to assigned customers as well as new customers via remote communication tools, mainly phone and email. Occasionally also via web session or video communication;
• Establish remote sustainable and business impactful relationship with any actor (e.g. KOL, physicians, head nurses, economic buyers) being part of the decision-making process of medical device procurements;
• Manage and maintain contact and customer information in the CRM tool by updating and capturing strategic information such as roles & responsibilities, number & type of procedures and customer preferences;
• Complete centralised administration tasks relating to all assigned customers (tender, pricing approval, etc.) in collaboration with customer services to provide seamless customer experience;
• Manage customer complaints and provide the best support to solve problems following the processes and procedures of the company;
• Responsible for shipment to customers of samples, marketing material and any other information required;

Knowledge and Skills & Competencies

• Experience in Telesales, Inside Sales or selling in the field;
• Ability to follow customer needs along the entire relationship process with focus on sales;
• Demonstrate marketing and sales acumen through business thinking and market comprehension;
• Ability to use sales techniques and deal making & negotiating skills in compliance with internal processes;
• Personal productivity, being driven to deliver on commitments and to respond, in a flexible way, when facing obstacles;
• Ability to provide clear and impactful communication, verbally and through business writing. Tailor message to target audience and active listening;
• Planning, organisation and prioritisation of daily tasks to meet established schedule with guidance of supervisor/manager;
• Strong problem solving attitude through analysis of data and situation, following standard practices and company procedures;
• Good analytical skills and ability to develop, understand and monitor sales results and analysis using the standard reporting and tools;
• Local language and good level of English spoken and written;
• IT Knowledge with focus on Microsoft Office package, and SAP (nice to have);
• Limited travel may be required, not more than 10 days per year.
