DHL Consulting knows logistics both from the perspective of the provider and the customer, thereby providing access to a skill-set that is not widely available. Over 15 years of proven results with the Deutsche Post DHL Group means that we know the provider business inside and out, including product development, infrastructure, finances, sourcing & procurement.

In 2008, we combined that expertise with management consulting and 3PL knowledge to create a strategic consulting service. Today, this service covers everything from logistics strategies and network design, to benchmarking KPIs and re-designing logistics organizations. The result is a symbiosis of expertise that delivers feasible, actionable and measurable advice for our customers everywhere in the world.


Founded in 1999, DHL Consulting has gained deep business knowledge of Deutsche Post DHL Group’s business units and functions and has more than 15 years of experience consulting the Group’s top management and decision makers. Not being attached to any business unit’s financial targets, DHL Consulting acts a neutral party and connection between all business units and functions.

With our 4 global offices, we are well represented in both the developed and developing markets to be close to where business is happening and to support our clients on the ground. We do that with strong methodological know-how in areas that matter to Deutsche Post DHL Group.

DHL Consulting is truly global in every way. Our teams are always close to our customers, either at one of our four strategically placed global offices, or on-site. For instance, a global distribution strategy project in the Middle East might require one of our China experts to be sited at the offices of a customer. In addition, virtual teams work seamlessly across time zones, tapping into specific market knowledge from various vantage points.

Teams are small and tightly knit, and provide maximum flexibility and quick decisions. We ensure global consistency in quality by setting global expectations on the consulting approach and deliverables in all regions. For global rollouts, for example, one contact person oversees the project in multiple regions, keeping quality consistent, and keeping planning both on track, and on time. We also believe in diversity in our staffing, where national differences combine to strengthen our ability to understand and connect with local languages and cultures.
