Role purpose

This position leads the reporting, execution, and internal/external engagement of plans relating to everyday chocolate Pricing and Promotional strategies.  This position is responsible for the achievement of effective pricing decisions, leveraging shopper insights that deliver against topline growth and price realization objectives. Building effective relationships with our Category, Category Development, Sales & Finance business partners will be key to the role.

This role operates in South Melbourne, and engages across the total Snacking organization.  Key contacts will be with the brand, category and sales team members.

It is a requirement of the role to engage internal stakeholders in Melbourne and external stakeholders in Melbourne & Interstate.  Frequent travel is expected.

 

Key accountabilities

In year Financial

Manage and monitor pricing and promotional strategy relating to our channel and customer strategies for everyday chocolate.  Leads definition of the pricing framework and parameters over the planning horizon.

Achieve in year targets:

  • Revenue growth - $650M everyday choc

  • Price Realisation

  • Gross profit and GP%

  • Operating Income and OI %

  • Market Share

Future year Planning

Plays a key role in contract build and the strategic planning process. Plays a supporting and inputting role in category and channel strategy.

  • Clear and concise recommendations, plans and strategies built bottom up through depth and Frequency assumptions.

  • Leverage shopper insight and behaviour in construction of pricing and promotional plans

  • Development of internal & external sell in documents and lead presentation and influence

  • Customer alignment to future year price plan

  • Input into relevant gate papers as they relate to pricing projects

  • 1-3 year price plan for key pack groups developed

Growing People

Coaching and developing others to achieve their best. Create opportunities for direct report to develop. Regular feedback and cascading of messages.

  • Regularly set goals and conduct performance reviews.

  • Attract and retain top talent.

  • Train and develop direct report.
