Role purpose 

The main responsibilities of this role are:

  • to provide support to the entire Product Cost Controlling AMEA team on cross-category projects 
  • and to provide support and solutions on system related issues on total AMEA cogs.

Projects:
This position will support the Product Cost Controller AMEA and the Product Cost Controlling Managers with the development and implementation of cross-category projects on cogs such as CVA (Cost Variance Analysis) tool, IBP process, harmonization projects in ISC and the MEA integration (system wise). In the future this role may also include the support of other Product Cost Controlling regional teams with the implementation of some of these projects.

System support:

This includes managing the communication with various other teams such as master data, procurement or IS to ensure that system issues are resolved in time and that controls are in place to avoid similar issues in the future. In addition this role will support the Product Cost Controlling team in Genpact (Noida) with system support and solutions (on non-standard issues).

This role operates in a complex matrix environment which involves people from different teams in different countries, categories and functions (Product Cost Controlling, Manufacturing Controlling, Procurement Controlling, Inventory Controlling, IS, Master data). It provides project and system support for a cost budget of approx. 3.7 Billion US$ with more than 13,000 SKUs in 6 categories and more than 22 countries. The person needs to be able to understand our system processes, provide meaningful analysis and needs to be able to come up with feasible solutions.

 

The ideal candidate

Knowledge: including education, qualifications and training
• University degree or equivalent
• Good knowledge of product costing methodology in an integrated system (i.e. SAP)

Skills/Leadership Competencies:

  • Comprehensive understanding of product costing in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Well organised with good analytical, reporting and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to work with different systems (SAP, BI, FiT, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Team player. 
  • Proven track record of self-management and time management. Proven drive for results.
  • Very strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle fast paced changing environment.

Experience
6+ years working in accounting and controlling of a large multi-national company.
System (SAP, BI and FiT) knowledge
